One flat fee for the host. That's the whole price list — Hunch never takes a cut of anything your group contributes, and we never process participant payments.
For hosts
You run the event, curate questions, and share the invites.
$20.00 one-time, per event
Signing up and drafting an event is free — add questions and get everything ready. When you're ready to open it to players, a one-time $20.00 activation fee unlocks invites, picks, scoring, and the shareable scorecard for the life of the event.
That's the only thing Hunch ever charges you. It's the same flat fee for points-only or cash (house rules) events, and it never scales with how many people join or how much anyone pledges.
For players
You make picks, optionally pledge on questions, and compete on the scorecard.
Free to play
Picks and the scorecard are free. If your host runs a cash pool, pledges are an honor system tracked on Hunch — nothing is charged here. You settle up off-platform with your host per their payment instructions.
For the guest of honor
The person the event celebrates.
Their share of each pool
On cash events, a host-chosen share of each question's pledge pool goes to the guest of honor. Settlement happens off-platform per the host's instructions — Hunch never touches participant money.
How the money moves
The only payment Hunch processes is the host's one-time activation fee. Cash pledges are honor-system amounts your group settles directly — Venmo, cash at the party, whatever your host specifies.
Hunch never holds anyone's pool money and never takes a cut of what players pledge.
