Privacy Policy

Account information. Your name, username, optional email address, optional avatar image, optional payment handles or links you add to your profile (such as Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle), and your password (stored only as a cryptographic hash; we never store it in plain text).

Content you create. Events, questions, picks, pledge amounts, payment instructions written by hosts, and notes.

Confirmations. Records of the confirmations you make on the Service: that you are 18 or older and accept our Terms at signup, and the attestations and state declaration hosts make at event activation.

Payment information. The host activation fee is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and a transaction reference, but never your card number. Chip-in and pledge amounts are recorded on the Service only. Participant money moves off-platform and we never see or process it.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting providers automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, which we use for security and to keep the Service running.

We use your information to operate the Service: creating and running events, showing picks and scorecards to other members of your events, showing names and standings on a live scoreboard when a host or co-host shares that event's display link, processing the host activation fee through Stripe, keeping records of the confirmations described above, securing the Service, and responding to your requests. We may also use it to enforce our Terms and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not currently sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Aggregated and de-identified data. We may create aggregated or de-identified data from information collected through the Service. For example, we may compile statistics about prediction accuracy, question types, or event trends that do not identify you or any member of your events. We may use, share, license, or sell aggregated or de-identified data for any lawful purpose, and we will not attempt to re-identify it.

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Events are private. Your name, avatar, picks, points, and pledges are visible to other members of the same event, including its hosts. If you add payment handles or links to your profile, those are shown to members of your cash events so the group can settle winnings off-platform. Nothing about your events is publicly listed or searchable.

A host or co-host can also share a live scoreboard link for that event (for example, to put standings on a TV or browser in the room). Anyone who has that link can see player names, ranks, scores or projected payouts, and resolved answers — without joining or signing in. The link does not show unpaid picks, payment handles, or invite access. Hosts and co-hosts should treat it like the invite link and not post it to the general public. Other members of your event, and anyone they show a scoreboard to, can see what you share there, and we can't control what they do with it.

We share information only:

• with the vendors that run the Service (Stripe for the host activation fee, and our hosting and database providers for infrastructure), each of which processes data only to provide their service to us;
• when required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or the Service;
• to enforce our Terms or investigate potential violations;
• in aggregated or de-identified form, as described above, with partners, researchers, or other third parties;
• as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service or its assets (including its data), in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information until it is updated.

If we ever decide to sell or share personal information in ways not described in this policy, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, give you advance notice and any consent or opt-out rights you are entitled to before the change applies to your information.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted in transit, and access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that your information will never be accessed without authorization.

We keep event records while an event is active or archived so scorecards and ledgers stay accurate for its members. To delete your account and associated data, contact us. We may retain some information after deletion where we have a legitimate need, including payment records for accounting and legal compliance, and records of the age and terms confirmations described above.

The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

You can update your name, avatar, payment links, and other profile details from your profile page, and you can contact us to access, correct, or delete your information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We honor applicable requests and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

The Service is operated from the United States and your information is processed and stored there. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you consent to that transfer.
